This 10 week program offers it all! Earn your internationally-recognized TESOL Certificate, spend 60 hours learning Arabic, visit some of the ancient world's most amazing locations, and gain practical teaching experience as an intern.

This program includes the following components:

• 4 Week intensive TESOL certificate course (teacher training) in Alexandria, provided by TEFL International, the world's leading TEFL/TESOL course provider
• 60-hour (6 weeks) Arabic course with cultural immersion activities
• 6 week teaching internship
• Excursion to Cairo

As part of your program, you will complete a four week TEFL International TESOL Certificate Course at our center in Alexandria, Egypt. This internationally recognized course consists of 120 hours of classroom instruction and up to 9 hours of observed teaching practice. Graduates are currently teaching in over 50 countries around the world.

While part of your day will be spent teaching in the classroom, the other part will be spent studying Egyptian colloquial Arabic. Egyptian Arabic is the most widely used and most understood dialect of the Arabic language. By studying this form of the language, you will gain the skills needed to communicate all over the Arab World.

We pride ourselves in our cultural immersion program, whereby learning does not merely take place in the classroom. Our students have the chance to practice their Arabic in authentic situations with the help of their teachers. A basic part of our course is dedicated to activities that aim to explore the Egyptian culture and practice Arabic in authentic situations. In a typical week, classes are taken four days and one day is dedicated for cultural immersion activities. You can also extend the language component throughout the year, so please inquire with our staff to learn more.

This is a wonderful way to immediately put your newly acquired TEFL skills to work. In the afternoons, interns will teach their own EFL classes, a maximum of 10 hours/week, to gain practical experience of the more advanced areas of teaching such as administrative issues. During this time you will be working closely with TEFL International’s teacher trainers in terms of lesson planning and teaching observation and feedback to assist you get real life teaching experience.

This program includes an amazing Egyptian excursion.

• Included in this course is an excursion to Cairo to see the Pyramids, Sphinx, the Pharaoh monuments in the Egyptian museum, and enjoy a Nile cruise. These are obviously a 'must see' when traveling to Egypt and traveling with a TEFL International group is a great way to experience it.

Accommodation is included throughout the program and will consist of a private bedroom located in a shared, three-bedroom apartment. Each apartment will have a furnished sitting room, a bathroom with hot water and a kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, a cooker and cooking utensils. All apartments are clean, comfortable and adequately furnished. They are located within easy access to various restaurants and entertainment sites.

Bedding and towels are NOT included in the room. Cleaning materials are available for trainees’ use. Post-program housing choices vary widely. If you choose to have accommodation on your own, we will also be glad to assist you in locating suitable housing.

We will arrange a free group pick up two days before the beginning of the course. If you are not able to catch this free pick up we will be glad to arrange for a special pick up for you for $60.
